ABOUT
Tepper is a small school within a research university. As one of the most technologically elite universities, Tepper is known to treat management as a science and favours the “management-science” method over the traditional case-study method. Compared to the Case-study method, Management-science puts less emphasis on historical precedent and more emphasis on the use of data and statistics in decision-making. Its small class size allows the school to place strong emphasis on individual attention and a student-to-teacher ratio of 5:1 is a testimony to that. Likely due to its affiliation with the science and engineering focused Carnegie Mellon, Tepper sends close to 30% of its graduates into post-MBA jobs in the technology industry.
