The Weatherhead School of Management sums up its philosophy in what it calls the “triple bottom line” — people, planet and profit. The school emphasizes design and sustainability, and over one-third of its incoming students majored in math, engineering or the sciences as undergrads. During the second semester, students take a course called Management Perspectives and Dialogues, which invites local businessmen into the classroom to talk through their current business problems with students. In their second year, students take year-long classes where they act as consultants on projects for local businesses. Beyond the classroom, students can get involved in a number of student clubs ranging from Dynamic Weatherhead Women In Business to Health Systems Management to Bioscience Club.
