ABOUT
The Max M. Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University stresses the importance of personal attention. The university accepts roughly 150 M.B.A. students each year to foster a small, flexible program within a large research institution. The median full-time work experience for the Fisher MBA class is generally over six years, one of the highest in the nation. Each student in the M.B.A. program follows the Fisher Triad, which guides students through academics, career tracks, and leadership and professional development. While learning some of the core functions of business, students can also select from more than 100 elective courses to narrow their focus. Fisher students can also work with the Student Investment Management Fund, which began with $5 million in 1990. Students invest the money with the goal of beating the S&P 500’s returns. Now totaling over $10 million, the fund beat the index in its first few years but has performed slightly below the S&P 500 since 2010.
