ABOUT
The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin gains from its prime location at Austin, Texas. It offers about 20 areas of concentration for the students to choose from, and simultaneously emphasizes entrepreneurship through two separate programs, Venture Fellows and Venture Lab Fellows. The Venture Fellows program places 15-20 students as interns in startups, venture capitals or private equity firms. The Venture Lab Fellows program brings together 30 graduate students from the schools of business, law, engineering and natural sciences to help 5-10 startups in their earliest stages. The MBA+ program offers students a chance to do micro-consulting projects (4-10 weeks) with companies like Dell, Chevron and American Airlines. Traditionally though, McCombs has placed a high number of graduates into post-MBA careers in the technology industry.
