Darden prides itself in being an MBA school for leaders and offers a staggering range of 11 different electives for leadership development. So, it comes as no surprise that it is one of the essay prompts this year as the school actively tries to reveal different facets of the applicant.

200 words is quite a tight space to recount an experience and then provide a commentary on your leadership style but given the constraints, we recommend that you allocate approximately 150 words to very concisely describe an experience that captures the essence of your leadership style. Think about how you perform under pressure, how you work with other team members, how you take charge and how you motivate others to achieve outcomes.

In the next 50 words, pick out 2-3 adjectives that describe your evolving style the best and the steps you plan on taking to better yourself as a leader.
